USDC News -

A fraudulent platform called CircleMetals impersonated Circle's branding to promote a non-existent tokenized precious metals service. The scam, which surfaced on Christmas Eve, used fabricated quotes from Circle executives and offered fake Gold (GLDC) and silver (SILC) tokens purportedly backed by COMEX liquidity.

Users were lured with promises of rewards in an unlisted token called CIRM. Security experts warn that connecting wallets to such platforms risks fund drainage. Circle has confirmed the operation as fraudulent, and no evidence supports the existence of GLDC or SILC tokens.
